There could not appear a single color in the whole sheet, save for a small amount of contrast at the bottom. Also, the blue is a bit bigger than the green when printed, and has an unusually low level of "dilution" for the screen's resolution, which meant that it was easier to spot.
The problem was, there was no way to make a digital graphic at a high resolution. If you set up a computer to give you such a high resolution image, then it would take much longer to reach the desired resolution.
Thankfully, I had a fairly large, highly responsive laptop in hand. After many attempts of putting images in Photoshop, I decided to build it out of a few pictures and lay the rest of it out onto a standard sheet of canvas. Unfortunately, the only known way to do the job, by hand, was to cut out and glue it into the screen. That was probably the first and only piece, on all counts, that made perfect sense, so it turned out to be quite costly.
However, this was also the first piece of the project that truly caught my eye.
I wanted the original image as realistic as possible. The first step of applying it in Photoshop is to apply an "interpolation" between the image and the underlying light-ground, which isn't very much used for pixelated images, but is a nice way
